Links into Hirsla
Hirsla opens from a link, so Shortcuts, Reminders, launchers, and any app that takes a link can take you straight to a card, a search, or a new note.
Eight links, one job each.
From version 1.2.1, on iPhone, iPad, and Mac
Put a link anywhere links work. Tapping it opens Hirsla on that device and does exactly one thing.
hirsla://card/…- Opens that card. Copy a card’s link with Copy Link: long-press the card, right-click it on the Mac, or open its More menu.
hirsla://search?q=…- Opens Find with your words typed in, and shows the matches.
hirsla://ask?q=…- Asks your question and answers it from your cards, on the device.
hirsla://capture/write- Starts a new note.
hirsla://capture/record- Starts a voice recording.
hirsla://capture/paste- Opens Add, ready to paste what is on the clipboard.
hirsla://capture/photo- Opens the camera, on iPhone and iPad.
hirsla://capture/draw- Opens a page to draw on, on iPhone and iPad.
The card, right where you need it.
- Shortcuts
- Make a shortcut with one Open URLs action and
hirsla://ask?q=Where%20did%20I%20park, and put it on the Home Screen or the Action button. One tap, and the answer is there. - Reminders and Calendar
- Paste a card’s link into a reminder or an event’s notes. When it is time, the ticket, the booking, or the note is one tap away.
- Notes, Mail, and Obsidian
- A card’s link works anywhere links work, as a bookmark to the original you kept.
- Raycast, Alfred, or a Stream Deck
- On the Mac,
hirsla://search?q={query}searches your library straight from the launcher. - An NFC tag by the door
- A Shortcuts automation on the tag opens
hirsla://capture/record, and a voice memo starts as you leave.
A few rules.
- Words after
q=are written the way web addresses write them: a space is%20. The URL Encode action in Shortcuts does this for you. - Capitals do not matter, so
HIRSLA://card/…opens too. - A link without words, or with an id that is not a card, does nothing.
- A link to a card that was deleted for good, or that has not reached this device yet, opens the Library.
A link only opens Hirsla.
A link opens Hirsla on your device and does its job there. Nothing is sent anywhere: searching and asking run on the device, as they do in the app. A card’s link holds only the card’s id, never what is on the card, so it shows nothing to anyone without your library.
Share it. Ask for it later.
Hirsla is on the App Store. The link opens it on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
